Because it’s not discontinued. It’s ’nearly impossible’ for most and ‘easily available’ for few others.

I’ve only ever seen them as expeditions but I’ve asked my AD for one if they ever see one. He mentioned not seeing one for over a year. The reality is I like the Batman-Batgirl almost as much so if that’s what I end up with I’m good with it. If I ever see a Pepsi down the road I can always step up again.

Because it’s not discontinued. Difficult to obtain, yes, but is relative as it really depends on a number of factors.
If you are aren’t well established/liked at your AD you aren’t going to get one but they are still out there. Having said that it does seem they trimmed back the numbers a bit in 2023. BLNR is far easier to get, from my experience.

They are available from your grey dealer.
That's how many of us got theirs, myself included. These are one of the only Rolex that is worth double on the grey market, so why should your AD give 'you' a step up like that? I paid double the retail price for mine, I have not lost anything. |

Got my 22 model from a reputable grey on TRF as well. Been wearing it 15 months now in rotation.

Get a 5 digit Pepsi. There are a lot of bargains out there, and I think they look better.

As stated it is not discontinued. Demand far exceeding supply. According to my AD the supply has diminished in 2023/4 compared to 2021/2 but they are still arriving.
Until Rolex say it's discontinued, it isn't. |

It's not discontinued, this is called artificial shortage.
You can can it from a scalper all day every day, and it's not worth it. |

Out of curiosity, I checked Chrono24, and it's showing 684 listings, 342 of which are unworn, with 70 being from 2024.

I don’t understand this discussion. The BLRO is not widely available at retail from a Rolex dealer or boutique. That is fact. For whatever reason this is the extreme version of many SS models limited availability at an AD. If someone wants to purchase a watch from an alternative source at $10k above retail they are available. Not an apples to apples situation. Paying way above retail just doesn’t make sense ro many people.
Buying a 15 year old version of the watch is not the same. The 5 digit and 6 digit are very different. IMHO, While the older version is a classic timepiece it is not a substitute for the current BLRO |

The only way to stop this madness is stop buying from scalpers and stop paying over msrp for them. They are still in production and there's tons of them on the market and also in AD safes. |

SA showed me the numbers for the year. A total of four BRLO’s are expected, two came in so far, both on oyster. About the same numbers for last year as well. Also, I believed they stopped swapping the bracelet for jubilee. You can go oyster from a jubilee but not the other way around.

I’d love to have one, but 20k is stupid. People that had to have one paid the 20 and most of those folks have one by now. They will go down to earth when folks stop throwing money at em. Then you’ll of paid 20 for something worth 10…

I got allocated a BLRO on jubilee over the weekend from my local AD. Picking it up tomorrow.
Background to give others perspective. It was a 13 month wait since my request. I have purchased a DJ and WG Daytona from them in the last three years. Also have bought my wife a decent amount of jewelry from them, nothing crazy but a solid 10 year history of Christmas and birthday items. I also make a point to attend their events and have got to know the staff fairly well. I think that can make a difference when it comes time to allocate. Purchase history is important but you need for them to like you too! |

Buy a 5 digit?
lovely watch but.. these were £2300 when they were new for a 2004, now they are £10,000 for a 2004. So you can either pay double retail for a new 126710BLRO or you can pay quadruple retail for a used 16710BLRO |

I'm not sure what of paid is but I agree that they will HAVE overpaid... Or not given that they thought the price is worth having it and otherwise wouldn't get one from their AD |
