Congrats! Absolutely love the W126 MBs. IMHO, the last of the truly beautiful MB S class sedans.

Looks a tad low at the front for, "bombing through, the snow"!
Good looking wagon though Joey.

Winter effectiveness just depends on how fast you hit the drifts.

Thanks guys, this car exceeded my expectations and drives wonderfully. Just have to get my wife used to the diesel fumes.

I will post more pictures and thoughts soon

Swapped through a few rides since beginning of year.

Been driving Audis for a decade plus and decided to try something different, especially with a growing family.

Went for a Lincoln Aviator.

Completely different ride. Good car, but just definitely was not for me.

Ride is way overly floaty (on air suspension). Build quality is utter crap (exterior, interior, electronics, etc). Horrible engine sound under acceleration.

Looks wise one of my favorite SUVs. Superb sound insulation from the road.

This was my first American car in 25+ years of driving. She stayed with me for 5 months.

Probably NOT going to go American anytime soon again. Honestly with some of the issues I had on my car, I'm surprised it got past quality control leaving the factory.

Was looking to replace her with either a V8 SQ7, X5 (M50i) or X7 (M50i).

Was looking for particular specs. X5 was last on my list (due to smaller size).

Happened to find a perfect (for me) spec X5 to give it a shot as I was SO over the Aviator.

It is a '23 loaded with all the options I wanted in the color I wanted (Dravit Grey). Absolutely gorgeous in person.

Overall a fantastic ride, love the torque and hp. Build quality is great not a single rattle or electronic glitch anywhere. Nowhere as floaty as the Aviator, but doesnt beat you up like the X5M.

Not as insulated as I would of liked (no dual pane on X5s), and 22's make quite a bit of noise over various surfaces. Exhaust sounds awesome. Seats are extremely comfy. Overall a monster of a car!

Not sure how long she will stay either as it's a bit tight, especially on back seat space (with child seats), and trunk for road trips.

Still on hunt for X7 OR SQ7 but not as urgent. For now loving the change back into a BMW (been over a decade for me), and will see what the next ride brings. Love the adventure.

Anyone in the tri-state area have a connection at a Ford dealership?

Looking to order a ‘24 F150 Raptor, without a markup, when the banks open (hearing July or September).

Interesting. I have never bought an American branded car. I guess perhaps a Toyota or Acura may have been built in U.S.A., but just have never liked the ride in American vehicles.

Hope you like your X5. I have had mainly good experiences with BMW, although the coupes that I tend to like seem to have gone in a different (bigger, heavier) direction, and I haven't owned one for 10 years. I'm sure yours is quite nice though.

So many ridiculously awesome rides the TRF community possesses. I almost feel I can’t hang in the club but nevertheless I picked up a different summertime car yesterday. A big change from the M8 but I guess I’m getting old…

I love the stance of that car. Every time I see one in person (which is not at all common), I look twice (or more). That’s one of the most beautiful cars on the road. And it’s a Lexus, which means it should be a dream to maintain.

You’ll have to travel out of area most likely. I have a connection at a dealer in Vegas that sold me my last one without a markup (they did have $1,500 in dealer fees, but that’s small potatoes on a Raptor). Lots of dealers in the rural areas of the south get an allocation for one they won’t be able to sell to a local customer. Check Kentucky, Louisiana, and such and you can likely find a dealer down there willing to do an MSRP order because they will be guaranteed it won’t sit on the lot and accrue flooring interest, which on an $80-$100k truck can suck up a lot of profit very quickly. In the Jersey area I would imagine there is too much money / demand and not enough supply to duck the markup, but being from out west I could be wrong.

When I bought my ‘19 I looked all over the country and that’s what I found; YMMV and good luck!

Car Love Thread

I’ve seen raptors sitting in lots in central NY. Try dealers within 100 miles of Syracuse ny and also central PA. You’ll find one easily. Some might be asking 5k over but will go to msrp when pushed. The bronco raptor is another story.

You’re correct. One local dealer has an orange one that’s been sitting for a while. They have a white one in transit also.

We got our M3 today -:)

After a long journey (six months) between my son, the sales guy and myself we took delivery of our first special order “allocation” today: 2023 M3 Competition with Xdrive (All wheel drive) in Isle of Man green. The car is gorgeous and just sexy as hell. We opted for the executive package, moonroof, carbon interior as well as the racing seats. It’s electronically limited until it passes 1000 miles for a break in period so you can’t really run it yet (we got 993 to go), but the grip/stance it has is amazing. We traded an M2 comp with not too many miles on it so a bit of reference to speak from. The Xdrive system is excellent, and if you feel like burning some rubber, you can turn it into 2 wheel drive with the tap of a few buttons. We have a piggy back jb4 and a few other upgrades like intake filters, carbon trim , Jlaudio sub and a ppf for the front planned. We’re thinking we can get it to 60mph in around 2.7s on 93 octane
More photos to come but here are a few
