Help Explorer 1 bracelet sizing

I just got a Exp 1 36 and had to remove 2 links from 6 o clock and the micro adjustment set on loosest position. The watch was too tight so I found that my perfect fit with the easy link open.

My question is, if I put back 1 link and move the micro adjustment for the tightest position it will be equal to my current one? I want to be able to use easy link if needed.

The easy link is 5mm and a full link is 10mm. I’d add the full link, close the easy link and adjust the micro adjust to a good fit.

Maybe. The distance between micro adjust holes in the clasp is about 3mm, so if you close the easy link and move the bracelet all the way in to the tightest setting on the clasp you would be about 11 mm tighter (6mm clasp + 5 mm easy link), so adding a link (10 mm) means you would be within a mm of where you are right now, the advantage being your easy link could stay closed (unless you needed it, of course.)

It would be worth a try, IMO.

It’s worth a try.

Doesn’t this watch come with a 1/2 link?

No - I tried and failed to find one. The taper also means the submariner half links don't fit.

That’s a bummer. Would a half link from a 114060 Sub fit?

Try it. That’s exactly how I fixed the fit on my 36 mm OP.
