That is quite a big departure from the Daytona case. It looks more like a block you would find on the tudor chronos.
I wouldn't go as far as to say its "butchered" but I am in the camp of preferring the original.
The 11 series had subtle curves and flows. This 12 series Daytona looks like what the new ceramic subs were when they launched which people only talked about (being "fat lug" and blocky") when they blew up the sub to 41mm and thinned the lugs. |
IMHO, the new case is an improvement. It’s more masculine looking to my eye, YMMV.
The only thing I would like to see is chamfers ~ ala ~ YM and DS Challenge. I truly hope they bring them back to the rest of the professional references.
