However I place a lot of the blame on the Swatch Group. They don't seem to be very interested in marketing the brand properly. Saxonian watchmaking is second to none, and watch aficionados clearly are not too put off by watches not made in Switzerland when done right. I think ALS is looked upon with the same reverence as the Trinity. Heck, the panodate comp is better than Lange's (although the window isn't usually framed) in that both numbers are on the same plane. It's simply sublime.
I have a great relationship with a Glasutte Original AD and was told that I could pick up (pretty much) any GO I wanted for with a substantial discount off list. It's a lot of bang for the buck considering the price increases of everything as of late.
In a world where 6K gets me a new Breitling Chronomat with a ETA2893, you could probably wheel and deal a PML for around 8K. The difference is like Pop Warner to NFL.
