For vintage, yes.
For modern, no. Because 90% of buyers want the watch to look "as new" and 99% of them won't have a clue if the case has lost a few microns of sharpness, or the crown guards are a few microns thinner than they should be.
Virtually every single pre worn owned watch that the trusted sellers on here have listed have been refinished. Are you seriously trying to say that those that sell watches for a living have been getting it wrong?
You will absolutely get more money for a professionally refinished white gold Sub than one which is covered in wear marks.
