Icon10 The Rolex 16040M COSC after some wear time

I've purposely held off writing anything about my 16040M COSC. Wanted to give it time to see how it would perform right out of the box, as in brand new.
Well I can report that this is "the " watch hands down. Mine has been trouble free, and keeping exemplary time. About +2 seconds per 24. I have been able to shake off that nonsense of, "my watch keeps +/- 0 time, or it gains +1 per 24 hours". The reason I say that fanatics enjoy bragging about their watch, and seconds, gained or lost, rather than appreciating the whole piece. We know that that no mechanical watch keeps "+/-0" time. When I read things like that contributed it reminds me of the old saying "gee Dad, it's a whirlitzer". The way I view this timepiece is that of a reference 5512 with incredible
improvements. The 5512 is a no date, like the 14060M COSC. With all the information floating around. A date on a watch is almost passe`.
