My first Rolex Seadweller was a 16600 that I bought new in 1983, back when it was common to be able to buy them at a discount from retail. It was $900 something, which was 10% off retail. Great watch; it definitely took a beating and kept on ticking. I wore it to work as an Engineer on a nuclear construction site and went scuba diving all over the world with it. It never failed to run accurately. I have owned many Seadwellers since then and still own one. I will always own a Seadweller.
