I can't be sure but considering the photos it seems two parts deserve more scrutiny. In the red box on the photo below - are this segment's edges slightly splayed? (or maybe optical illusion)




Another thought, during the disassembly or reassembly, did the curvature of the blade in the red box on the photo below somehow get flattened?



The finesse of the clasp relies on precise geometry. Rolex redesigned the old clasp concept to use thicker metal to avoid deformed components. However, it is possible that a 0.5 to a 1mm deviation can affect the "click" one expects.
