AHCI's Masters Of Horology 2024

This year, 2024, is the ThirdEdition of Masters of Horology Showcases World’s Finest Timepieces

The Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI) is proud to announce the eagerly anticipated third edition of the annual event, Masters of Horology. This exclusive gathering, set to take place in April 9-14, will feature over 20 esteemed masters of clock and watchmaking from around the globe, presenting their unparalleled craftsmanship and innovative timepieces.

Masters of Horology provides a rare opportunity for enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike to engage directly with the visionary creators behind these extraordinary works of horological artistry. Attendees will have the privilege of engaging in in-depth conversations with the masters, gaining insights into their techniques, inspirations, and the intricate processes involved in bringing their creations to life.

Vianney Halter worked many years on the acoustic resonance to express this phenomenon through the mechanics of watchmaking. Developing first the Deep Space Tourbillon and then the Deep Space Resonance was a crucial preliminary work that lead to the conception of La Resonance. In this new caliber, there is no more mainplate. The bridges, pillars and large wheels take you to a new universe, where the genuine acoustic resonance phenomenon is highlighted.

La Resonance is a 3 hands, 35 grams light, technically focused dressed watch. The titanium 39mm case and 11mm thick is constructed of a unibody ring set with four separate lugs. It is enclosed with 3 curved sapphire windows to ensure a 3D view of the in-house developed VH222 caliber. The crown is unconventionally placed at 9h to offer a better sight on the technical architecture on the 3h side where the 3hz frequencies resonating oscillators are located. This 100 hours power reserve movement is composed of 320 hand finished parts - which represents more than 700 hours of hand work.
