The reality here is that if you bring a watch into a dealer or service center with water ingress, they have no idea what it has been exposed to. I believe if the seals are worn and the last service was well in the past, they may well charge for repairs - regardless of the owners statements of water exposure. My experience is that sport Pateks stand up very well to swimming and shallow diving and I doubt that has changed.
