I wouldn’t do that trade but perhaps it’s because I don’t have those pieces. If you have them and you’re bored of them then why not?
Every time I have worked out a trade up I pull my watches out of the bank and I can’t do it. My 5167 is in a casebudi now and gets worn because I took it out to trade and I realized I like the watch too much.
I will still do it at some point, with what I have out now which is around 5 watches that gives me what I need in terms of rotation and I have a bank safe full of stuff that is gathering dust.
