I think the total marketing offensive is to capture some spending from the unwary shopper.
For example...
About 45 million Americans hold federal student loan debt. Average monthly repayment was $500.
So a part of the free cash flow of $22 billion is up for grabs. Not everyone will have debt forgiven.
But a large enough percentage of those folks will be spending their previously collected payments.
So full-on barrages of marcomm is unleashed and, for the most part, we are by-catch.
