There is always bad that comes with the good. Everything negative that has been mentioned has a countermeasure that can be used to stop it.

You don't have to deal with it. However, you do have to take the time to understand how to stop it instead of just blaming technology or marketing for making you do something. Those are both just tools. You as an individual made the choices.

Scams ALWAYS happened and technology has made them easier and cheaper. Pretty interesting info on some common scams and fraud throughout the years.

But I agree, it is really frustrating that you even have to deal with any of it in the first place.
