I have a DD40 platinum with fluted bezel + diamond hour markers and I love it.
It definitely has a presence on the wrist but I would never say that it have felt uncomfortable. Perhaps if you are swinging your arms or something and it's sliding down and hitting your hand constantly, that might feel weird, but yeah i'm not playing baseball with the watch either hahaha.
