Your best bet is unscrewing the case screws from the movement, slightly turning the whole movement inside the case in the desired direction and then holding it there and secure the screws again. You'll only want to do a very slight adjustment since it will put sideways pressure on your stem, but it is the only 'fix' for your misalignment issue.

So removing the movement, reducing the dial clamping pressure, then "nudging" in the correct direction and tightening clamping isn't a good idea?
No matter what method is used, it will only be a workaround until the next service returns the dial to its current position.
