Watch companies have always "borrowed" styling cues from others. This is a mixed blessing. The prospective buyer will think, "This looks like a [Rolex, Blancpain, Omega, Etc.]" and buy it because it's priced lower. Or, he'll buy the [Rolex, Blancpain, Omega, Etc.] instead.
One life lesson I've learned is not to go with something that reminds you of something else. Go with the something else. (If you can't afford that something else, get something that you like that won't remind you of it.)
