The guys are spot on, RD. You really only want a winder if you have multiple autos. E.g., I've got 10 autos, all with complications. I also have a quad, a triple, and a single winder. If you count, that means I can keep 8 watches on the winders at a time. One is always on my wrist, except at night (but any auto will have sufficient power reserve to keep running through the night when it's resting), and one stays in the drawer. Clearly the ones with multiple complications (date/second or 24 hour time zones, moon phase, etc) stay on winders when they're not being worn.
