Hi,
Sorry about my late reply but I've stopped my repairs till September due to summer season.
I used a special cylindrical brush tool for dremmel. Also I built a stand for the bezel to keep always the same position during brushing. This position is very important because if you don't do this you can take out the paint of the numbers.
Finishing step is by hand with different brushes to homogenize the surface brushing harder on deep dents.
