For a quick answer, you are ok in the shower, and likely if you were to get pushed into a pool or something. Washing hands also no problem.

But actual swimming would create pressure that would replicate what it is like 50 meters down. It is highly recommended that you do not swim with your speedy.

You can have 25 good outings, but once the seals start to go, you can have a massive problem in an instant.
