I believe this watch has a lot of value in the vintage watch world especially with how rare a Luminova Red Sub dial is. Also, yes the patina and original nature of the watch is now gone, but there are many people out there that would pay a premium for this new looking red Sub... definitely more than the $10k the OP has in it.
