I had to stop and buy toothpicks to adjust them, as I didn't take any tools. It would have been much easier to just adjust the strap.

Good post Buz. Nylon is a great change. One I would like to add is an original Tropic rubber dive strap. The prices have gone sky high on these and a real one is getting harder to find.
