Well truth be told the reality is no one owns the 'actual' 50th anniversary submariner. Only Rolex does.

The original first produced 50th anniversary submariner 'prototype' has lug holes. The production ones do not.
So although collectors etc value different serial #s differently the reality is they are all 50th anniversary 'models'.
