I think you are entitled to your opinion. The submariner is not for me either. The question is why we sometimes buy watches we dont want. I think it is just peer pressure. There are certain models that no one will criticise to express a negative feeling about. I also used to buy forum recommended watches, but for me it led down a road of endless flipping. Most of the watches I am really attracted to are criticised. I like dates, I like some colour. I like some gold. Sue me! I left monotone steel watches a long time ago.
