Im a tech guy, always worn an Apple Watch so going into this is kinda a big deal for me.
The reason I want a Rolex is because my friend has one and when I put it on my wrist, I felt amazing, it feels so nice on the wrist.
Then I ask myself what should I be earring to own a Rolex? I am still renting, I have the money to buy it....just unsure I guess.
With a car, you know what your buying you know you will loose some money and can sell. Should I have the same mindset?

Do not think buying a rolex is an investment that will increase in value few years of wearing it.
Better off saving the money towards a down payment for a house/real estate.
