Raymond Weil is one of the newer kids on the block in Swiss made watches. While the name has been around since before WW11 Raymond Weil was named after the original guy who founded the company in Geneva.The new Raymond Weil was only formed in 1976,right in Japanese the quartz influx crisis.But today the brand remains one of the last true Swiss independents they make a lot of ladies watches.Today they use exclusively stock or lightly-modified ETA movements in-house.But like many Swiss manufactures may soon I would expect go down the road to use Sellita, Soprod, and perhaps other movements,so they would fit into group 7.
