Just wear it and enjoy it. As said wash it every few weeks. I know gold is softer than steel but in my experience the gold mixture Rolex uses is pretty hard. I think it appears to "scratch" easier because of all the polished surfaces. IMO I've compared gold watches to watches with PCLs like the Milgauss and GMTIIc and to me they pretty much get the hairline scratches the same. To be a little clearer I'm not saying gold isn't softer but Rolex knows what they are doing and I think the general concensus about the gold being a noticeable amount softer than the steel watches isnt exactly the case.
