Well, then it's good to get an education... The OP is a tough one to detect as it isn't studied as much as others..

Today, fakes use a high beat movement, just like Rolex... this myth is a carryover from when fakes used quartz movements in Rolex market cases... You cannot tell by watching the hands any more..

The magnifier on Rolex is usually badly done and the date will not "fill the cyclops" like it does on a Rolex.... frequently a tell.

Rolex also uses solid gold, so there will not be any plating, and the font on the dial is crisp with no fuzzy stenciled edges..

Still, the best way is to look at the movement as nobody makes a fake Rolex movement......... but you have to know what the real thing looks like first.....
