The OP either did not find an answer, or just did not share it or a photo.

It could well have been 1959. The really rare early 1959 reference 5512s may have had
the first flat tip crown guards. These were exceedingly rare and valuable. Rolex was
still working with the crown guards to find the best design for crown access and yet
protection.
