I was thinking about this line of thinking. Does it still hold in a world where there is no more steel MSRP in sight and you'd refer to gold MSRP for more recent figures?

Then I was wondering if steel Pateks will continue to hold their premium.

Yeah. 5740 is in a completely different league compared to any steel Nautilus. Wearability on the wrist wise, most gold pieces are better than the steel equivalent. Steel's advantage was accessibility in terms of price point, but is accessibility for a SS Nautilus even worth discussing nowadays?
