Converse Skull wall at Santa Monica store
Just got back from 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica and saw this inside a Converse store (went there to check out their new Chuck II). Thought it was pretty cool. The entire wall is made out of Converse Chuck Taylor All Star. Lots of people were taking snapshots there.
If you can't see it then look with one eye closed. |

For me it was just ok.. didn't see any huge improvement over the original Chuck. Maybe it's just something marketing ploy. I guess I'll wait for Chuck 10. |

Never really got the whole infatuation with 'skull art' so many people seem to have.

I actually think that the new version is a huge improvement. I had some Chucks maybe 5 years ago, but I still remember how they felt. The canvas on the new ones is softer and has a nice lining on the inside. The insoles, though, are the biggest difference. They are very soft and easy on your feet. There is zero break-in time. |
