Stopped by my local AD- shouldn’t have
Stopped by my local AD yesterday and left there with a dent in my pocket, LOL!
Not a thread to bitch about the current status with Rolex etc etc. And please forgive me if this doesn’t belong in the Rolex general discussion topic. Just wanted to share that there are so many other nice watches out there if you are a watch lover and going to visit an AD doesn’t always have to be a negative experience. its not only about Rolex although i do love my Rolex's as well. Just picked up one of my favorite watches of all time. Omega Speedmaster Professional “Sapphire sandwich”. I have the Hesalite version as well however not for me and will be selling it. Pictures of this watch do not do it justice. It is absolutely stunning and the new bracelet really is something special in my opinion. Presence on the wrist is incredible as well. Congratulations! Great choice.
Many posters are making the same point you just have. You’re the latest example. |

Great watch. Timeless and the new version is getting rave reviews. Did you get any wiggle room on the price?

The Omega 'Presidential' bracelet is very nice. Tried this on the other day and was very tempted to get one too.

Excellent choice and enjoy to the fullest
You will like it even more, if you place the chrono hand at 21 sec, so you can see the logo unobstructed |

To be honest, no. My SA told me they have been selling a bunch and there isn’t any wiggle room on the price. Whether he was being truthful or not I’m not sure but At that point it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me. Regardless, I really do love the watch and find myself looking at it a bunch of times on my wrist since getting it yesterday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It really is beautiful. My other speedmaster with Hesalite is currently on a leather strap because I didn’t like the omega bracelets however this one is on another level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Scratches really easily. I know it’s fixed easily and I know some people think scratches on a watch add character and to just embrace them as they pile on. I am not one of those people lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congrats!!! Love the Omega!
For those of us truly passionate about timepieces, a Speedy is a great addition. Speedmaster-Moonwatch-Wrist.jpg

Agreed. The main forum is reserved for complaining about your AD, the gray market, the overall state of affairs, etc. The simple joys of an impulse purchase and general watch enjoyment have no place here.
And don't even get me started on Tudor. This isn't the poor mans rolex forum (TpmRF)! Congrats OP! |

Steve, congrats on the watch.
This underlines why being a Rolex AD is a very valuable asset, even when there are no Rolex to sell. No doubt that watch would not have been sold at that AD had they not had the Rolex brand to get you through the door.

Stopped by my local AD- shouldn’t have
Personally I’d find it much easier to build a relationship with “my” AD if they were also an omega dealer. But sadly they don’t stock Tudor or omega. It’s Rolex, IWC, Patek (and I’m not a millionaire!) and that’s about it sadly. Lovely watch, OP
