Debating between a Sub 41 or the Tudor Chrono
I was all set for the sub no date as my next watch but not sure if I should go for the new Tudor Chrono instead.
I currently have an air king, YM 40 rhodium, and a GMT. I know I’m never gonna get a Daytona and honestly find it wears small. I know the sub is classic but not sure what would be a better addition as I like both. Curious to hear thoughts… |

I'm biased as I mainly collect chronographs. Happen to think the latest BB Chronograph is an excellent choice.
People do dislike the snowflake hand covering the register. It doesn't bother me eg And if you think a Daytona wears small, this or a speedmaster is a potential solution. Having said that, a ND Sub is virtually unbeatable. |

I like the Tudor Chrono much better than the Daytona, less busy dial and bolder, but if it were me, I would take the Sub.

My preference would be a reverse panda, like bp1000's stunner.

I'm a massive chrono fan but if picking between a rolex and a tudor, you must go rolex esp when it's the sub...

Try on the Tudor chrono before you buy it. It is quite thick. The Sub is noticeable thinner.

I don't think you'll ever get over the Sub if you get the Chrono First.
Both are worthy. So get both. You are a multiwatch guy so you can easily justify n+1. The Chrono is soooo nice. I have the S&G and love it, but that white dial is sublime. Yet not as sublime as the the Sub. Get the Sub - it's what you want and different enough from your Batman on Jubilee. So, for my Chronos: Tudor #1 Sportiness and Legibility; Daytona #1 Comfort and prestige; Speedy #1 Heritage and Coolness |

I own both the black and white dial Tudor Chronos and really like them. I wear one on a Bund Strap and the other on a bracelet. I also own a Submariner-C ND 114060. Really comparing apples and oranges. If you want a chrono then the Tudor, if you want a diver then the Submariner. I would go Submariner and circle around later for the Tudor Chrono.

Well you already have the YM and no chrono, so I would say the Tudor.

Different complications so to me it comes down to which you want more.
I’d go Submariner, but that’s only because I don’t care for chronographs as much. |

Tudor is nice. And if you want a chrono, the choice is easy. But as nice as Tudors are, Rolex is on another level. This coming from someone with more Tudors than Rolex.

The Tudor chrono is nice, but there is no question here that you should get the sub if you can.

I like the look of the Tudor Chrono, but found it too thick. If you're saying a Daytona wears small it may be better suited for your wrist. I think the Sub is the better choice, but can't go wrong either way.

I don't really like chronographs, nor do I need one, so I'd say go for the Rolex...especially as it's a Sub!

In your situation, I vote Sub. It's truly a missing piece in your nice Rolex collection. Tudor chronos (love 'em) continue their decades-long track record as being extremely attractive pieces; I would anticipate that they will continue to get better and better, and you'll have a chance to grab whatever Tudor chrono is current in the future at retail. Subs, on the other hand, continue their retail scarcity and price increases. If you can and desire a Sub, get it now. Best wishes
