Clarkson’s Farm

Anyone watching Clarksons Farm? I just finished Season 3 and really enjoyed it. Each season has gotten better and better.

Best not to take him at face value.
He's just playing 'the game'.

Agreed

If you look at a lot of his other documentaries like his ones on WW2 they are brilliant. There are definitely 2 sides to him, as you say, just playing the game.

First 2 series of Clarksons farm have been funny, with a bit of mucking about but also the serious side mixed in so have had a nice balance.

It’s been very enjoyable. Can’t quite put my finger on why it’s so enjoyable, but something about it is great.

I think it’s because I, like Clarkson am a bit of an idiot at times, so I guess it’s inspirational knowing that I might be able to accomplish things as well.

It really puts you in touch with the plight of the farmers.

The only time he ploughed and seeded his fields was when the camera was running and he was making money??

Some livestock like cows pigs and sheep. The crops are mostly grains like barley for beer and pasta grains. The farm grew mushrooms this season.

I watched a bit of the first season. As noted above, it does bring to the forefront how difficult it can be to run a farm and stay profitable. Generally though, I avoid "reality" programs.

Also as noted, Clarkson is a bit of a tool, but a lot of it is done for amusement, obviously no one can be that stupid and remain alive. I do appreciate the fact that he is proudly not PC and often find him amusing, even when he is insulting Americans.
