LV, BLNR.. what next?
Hi folks -
I have been in the fortunate position to have two great references in my collection. I have a 116610LV and 126710BLNR on jubilee. I love both these watches and would like to add another reference. The watch would be from a grey dealer. The ceramic daytona, albeit gorgeous, would be out of my budget. I am thinking about getting either a sky-dweller white dial, pepsi on oyster, 116520 white dial or deep-sea james cameron, 114060. My criteria is the following. - steel watch - eye catching (I enjoy a little colour in my watches) - size doesn't matter I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on their collections and what they enjoy. Also happy to hear what everyone has to say regarding what watch I should get. |

If it’s colour you want then go Pepsi but if it’s a different look then Sky-D

I say Daytona. I have two Pepsi GMTs but only because one is vintage. Not sure I’d keep adding modern GMTs if I didn’t have a chronograph. I like the idea of the 116520 steel Daytona but you aren’t too far off from a black ceramic 116500 so if you are thinking black dial, maybe consider that also?
Highly recommend trying on the Sky Dweller first. I was surprised how big it felt even after wearing a deep sea for a few years. That’s a watch I want to love but, it’s a chunk and I can’t seem to get past that for my intended use which would be dress and travel for work.

The Pepsi is actually too subdued imho. I think you might rather enjoy a yellow OP 41.

Thanks. The 116500 black dial didn’t cross my mind. I wanted something different than a black dial, but it’s pretty for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Leaning towards blro to be honest. Sky-dweller doesn’t seem as wearable/daily as the others. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’m still leaning 116520 Daytona and that’s coming from a ceramic Pepsi owner. Only because you have the pop of blue and multi time zone function on your current gmt. You also don’t have any non ceramic. The white dial looks awesome; especially in the summer.
Definitely be sure to try them all on first. The Daytona wears like a dream. Great size for an automatic chronograph. To me it feels dressy and/or sporty as you need.

I'd go Exp ll Polar, a stand out dial with the same style Maxi Dial you have in the other two.

Maybe another brand.
An Omega 321 would be my chrono choice. Once you see one in person, you’ll appreciate its beauty |

If sticking with Rolex…I’d go ahead and complete the land, sea, air, and get a white dial or even a TT daytona.

I would rather go for new Daytona or AP RO.

If staying with those options, I'd go with a Skydweller or JC Deepsea (my biased choice).
Have you considered other brands? Omega, IWC, JLC... |

100% an all black option. The best would be the black Daytona, but impossible to get. I had these two but the 12LV. If I did it again, I would have the blnr, green OP and 124060. I wanted to add the 124060 when I had those two, but 2 subs in a small collection was too much for me.

If you don’t have a Daytona, you need one. I would also move the blue GMT and get the blue Deepsea. Also, any watch can be an everyday watch….you just have to wear it everyday
