PolyWatch Glass Polish

I somehow ended up scratching the sapphire crystal on my Explorer, and although this sort of thing wouldn't usually bother me, the scratch appeared long and somewhat deep across the middle of it, so I decided to give a diamond paste a try.

I knew of PolyWatch because I used to use their other product on my Panerai that had a plexiglass crystal, so decided to give their Glass Polish product a try.

Long story short, after 10 min of work the scratch is completely gone and the sapphire crystal looks mint.

P.S. I am in no way affiliated with PolyWatch, and assume that a diamond paste from other manufacturers would do just fine.

A diamond paste will absolutely polish sapphire as it's a harder substance. In fact, diamond polishing is how the sapphire is polished in the first place.

Yes, this is the exact one I used. Worked like a charm.

Always been impressed with PolyWatch products - especially after I found my cat playing with a vintage Oris on a tile floor...

Has anyone used the PolyWatch ‘watch protector’ kit, out of interest?

I wonder if it will remove the AR coating from the crystal? Im guessing yes it will

Life is short, buy the watch.

Never knew this might work, but I have yet to scratch a sapphire crystal. I have used their product on other surfaces with excellent results. I used to touch up my Hesalite Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with it once a year and the crystal would look brand new. I have ironically switched to the newer model with a sapphire crystal.

You have to use it on Sapphire crystals that have internal AR. Otherwise indeed it will remove the coating

By the way. If you need to use a Dremel, the scratch may be too deep to be salvageable. Ask me how I know
