Value of Extract from the Archives if you have original Certificate of Origin?

Assuming you have your Patek's original Certificate of Origin, is there any value in getting an Extract from the Archives for the same watch? I thought it was something fun genuine owners got before they charged CHF500 for it, but understand it has no value as it does not confirm the watch's authenticity. My understanding is that if the original certificate is missing for any reason, service receipts from the official Patek service center and verified by them as authentic have far more value than an Extract. The value is more for very old watches where there are more understandable reasons for the certificate to be missing, and you at least confirm such a watch was in fact made decades ago.

If so, could I check what the value of the Extract would be? Is the answer in fact nothing, other than an expensive indulgence?

Lesson zero in my opinion. And that’s because it cost money time and effort to get. I wouldn’t want it. In fact, if I have the original certificate, which I do for every single one of my watch is ever made.

I my case an Extraction from the Archives helped w/ authenticity because I only had the watch, a vintage 1963 5406J, and no other paperwork. It was only $150.00US back in 2005 when I received mine.
