Icon9 Blancpain Customer Service

Hi,

My new FF gains over 10-secs per day.

BP SA customer service helpfully tell me this is within tolerance of +12?

They also thoughtfully point out its not a quartz watch!

That's it - bye bye!

Do they realise how brand damaging this is to me

I didn't NEED to drop north of $10K on their watch - wonder if I should have bought a Hublot! At least they seem to care!

Not very happy. I also have no dealer in my current geography - any thoughts or suggestions?

Not a good story for them. I am not sure what normal tolerance is, but the answer was inadequate to say the least. I think most people who are willing to fork over +$10k on a watch will know if it's quartz or not!

Good luck. I think I would consider selling and buy me a nice Breguet or JLC. Though the FF is a gorgeous watch. You might try calling back and seeing if you can get someone else or speak to someone higher up?

i wouldn't throw out the baby with the bath water just yet. you may have just gotten someone a little slow on the uptake. i'd look into it a little more - maybe post on the bp forum over at tz and see what the consensus is from knowledgeable owners.

Wow! Not good for that particular person you spoke to. Bet that person wears a Timex (that may be harsh...but, wow).

X2

I would attempt to go up the BP chain of command until receiving a satisfactory response/outcome. Good luck.

Try calling the store you bought it.
I have talked to two others who had
issues with Blancpain watches and both
said they bent over backwards to help
them..

Please keep us updated.

I think you just came across a moron.... My wife has a Blancpain Villeret with jumping seconds, when it started acting funny, Blancpain bent over backwards to get it resolved!

Thanks for all the input.

Spoke to BP SA CS today and they kindly offered to take the watch back for repair.

This is acceptable to me - wasn't after anything else.

Will update on the results.

I believe xbox traded his FF some months ago.

If you go to the Blancpain website, there are contact details for customer service, and a reasonably active forum which you can join if desired. In my experience they respond quite promptly to email inquiries.

Cheers

Psmith: thanks! I found AD here in Prague. One month later I picked up "brand new" Aqua Lung :-) Fortunately the price wasn´t for new, only 700USD...

No worries Jakub!

Further to my previous post, Blancpain no longer run a forum from their website. I think it has decamped over to PuristsPro.

Anyway, congrats on your Aqua Lung, that's a nice piece - any pics?

Not sure which is more insane, that price, or the revival of a near 13 year old thread to point it out.
