Lost Rolex Date Just 41

Not sure if this is the correct thread and it’s a massive long shot but continuing my long run of bad luck when it comes to Rolex Watches I have lost my very first DJ recently in the Bude area of Cornwall (UK)

Any suggestions on best chance or getting it back?

Was it insured?
And how did you lose it?

How do you lose a watch of that stature?

Sorry to hear. At minimum, you should file a police report and have it registered stolen. Rolex maintains a database that they will check against if the watch happens to come in for service. Seems like a long shot, but it at least makes the chance of recovery nonzero.

Sorry to hear you lost your DJ41. Maybe talk to a few businesses in that area as well as reporting to Police and Rolex. Jewelry, Watch and Pawn shops..

Only way to get it back now is to buy another one.

How the heck do you “lose” your rolex..

Not as long as you might think. I was in RSC getting links and the lady next to me had a solid gold watch taken into custody for it being reported stolen. She put up a small fight but ultimately left without much fuss.

Well if I knew how I lost it, chances are it wouldn’t be lost...

I’m in a motorhome atm so possibly taken from there, I wear an Apple Watch also so I didn’t notice it missing for a couple of days.

I file it with the police but the serial number on the card is at home which I won’t get for a few more days, won’t harm making the police aware though and adding the serial number at a later date.

It would be worth registering and reporting your loss here also as your UK based.

Wearing too many watches during travelling (at motorhome) without proper care taking or locking in the safe obviously led to the loss. Perhaps you can provide the serial here see anyone can help
Do you have any CCTV in the motorhome?

This. It should be on your wrist or locked in a vault. You will never loose another one again if you follow these rules. Sounds like you learned a tough $10k lesson. Everyone knows the value of a Rolex and it will be swiped at the first opportunity.

File a claim with your homeowners policy if it's insured
