Chronograph watch suggestion !
Hi. I'm looking for a new chronograph for my daily wearing, something that unique. I made some searches and finally point out one that attracted most Breguet XXii fly back 10hz.
How do you guys think of it? Is there any other Chrono from different brand that better like Blancpain FF, VC oversea Chrono, JLC...? Thanks |

^^^Agree; for a first chrono Zenith is tough to beat; great looking, classic historically significant in-house movement and they only produce about 35,000 watches per year, though they are looking to increase production to ~45k over the next 5 or so years, which would put them in the same production numbers as Patek.
Not to mention, they're a great value. |

"Better" is a completely subjective word and often the start of arguments. Are you looking for a high quality timing device? Are you looking for a watch to wear? What is your view of unique? As for chrono's two that stand out are the Rolex Daytona and the Omega Speedmaster. If you are looking at higher level brands, have you looked at Patek or AP in addition to Blancpain, VC and JLC? The Breguet you have posted is a terrible timing device with the "30" sub dial, this was has been harshly reviewed as a timing device. As for unique, I am not sure what that means to you. Rarely seen? Limited edition? Unknown brand? Here is a recent article http://www.watchtime.com/blog/watch-...nographs-2013/ If I had to buy one now and did not already own a Daytona and a Speedmaster, I would be buying the new Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon http://www.omegawatches.com/news/int...ws-detail/2269

Bet you're surprised but the 79170 or 79270 make for a great daily wearer. Chrono function, date, rotating bezel for a second time zone or simple timer, automatic, and wrapped in the iconic Oyster case. Since the Big Blocks [79170] are rarer and more collectable the 79270 might have the edge.

Thanks for all comments.
This will be my third purchase of Chronograph watches. I have AP RO Off shore Chrono and Omega Seamaster Chrono ans used to has Zenith El Primero split second but it's gone. Omega Dark side of the moon also in my list for this year. I want a watch that can put in my wrist everyday, tough movement and good looking watch. I'm not looking in to high end right now, mid high end is good. I like Zenith watch and their movements but at the end it's cannot convince me to straight forward. |

VC over sea is a good looking watch and top brand but the think that I consider is the movement inside, it's not from VC in house movement. It from the third party F. Piguet 1137(now Blacpain). Somehow I feel owning a watch but the movement is not belong from them is heart breaking and not enjoyable.

What about a Cartier Calibre chrono? You don't see them very often and I quite like them. In-house movement and great design. I own the non-chrono version, and I love it.

Sorry Catier doesn't sing to me well. Like I said Omega already in my collection so now I want something little better.
I'm thinking of BP FF Chrono or Aqualung limited edition. |

Yes. I really love JLC deep sea Chrono and almost pull a trigger for this model but one think that stop me from it is missing the date window. That is the most important for me.
Everyone is has a different taste. But this really a nice watch with a vintage look. |

I agree big time. If you don't have a Speedmaster Pro yet, get one! You can spend a lot more money on another chronograph and get a watch with way way way less history behind it. Heck, for the price of some of the watches shown, you can get a new Speedmaster Pro and a vintage one. |

If you want special get a Zenith Striking Tenth. There are a few chronos I hold in high regard: the Zentih ST, Omega Speedmaster, Breguet Type XX, the Cairelli..., and that's about it

I agree. Omega and Zenith also a good choice.
. but I'm waiting for the Omega Dark Side of the Moon and it only release at the end of this year. It take quite long for waiting. I'm thinking forward to Breguet XXi titanium or XXii flyback. But I still love the open case back watch. It is hard to find a perfect watch. |

I like the Type xxii, but GP has a lot of very good looking and high quality chrono's, too.
