Please consider buying and READING this book !!!

First of all, I did not write it and no, I don't get paid for every book I try to sell :-)

The only reason why I do recommend this book is because too often I read posts like ' why is this brand XX more expensive than for example Rolex '

Seems this forum has 266.000 members, of course most are not active and the biggest part are probably created by bots.
That aside, it is a very big forum with a lot of active members.

So, if you want to know why a Blancpain 50 fathoms costs more than a Rolex Submariner, or some independents are really better finished than most entry to mid level Patek, Vacheron and AP watches.
Do read this and it will help you

I'll post some pics from the book so you know at least the content and how things are explained.

By the way, it's written by Renaud & Papi who are 2 master watchmakers that founded Renaud & Papi.
Renaud & Papi is a company that helped Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille to make and develop their most complicated movements.

Order it here or elsewhere if you find it cheaper :

some pics

Bought mine in 2007 ... time flies :-) And got it signed by the author

Subjects that will get explained

Wow! That looks like an amazing read. Is it easily digestible for hobbyists?

yes without doubt, that's why I recommend it and think everyone should at least consider reading it.
I tried to read stuff George Daniels wrote but I gave up fast lol. This is very easy to read and all the pictures show you visually what they're talking about.

By the way, EVERYBODY starts as a hobbyist. I did around 1995 :-)
I knew barely more than Rolex, Omega, Breitling ... Later you discover more high end brands and even later you discover why they are high end .. this book will help you.
