Yep, looks like it.
I’m sort of sad to see that one go. The movement was quite unique. |

Its about time . If it was in 39mm was a major success on the ss model
I think the world go for 36-39mm and the big watch hype will be underrated even on the ap line |

YM2 Two tone is an amazing watch, but again not everyone is a fan of it. I love the look of the Blue, Rosegold, White and the Red on this piece.

I liked the SS version, although never enough to pull the trigger when offered the piece.

I really liked the watch, particularly the SS version, the blue really pops against the full steel background. I also liked the fact that it wasnt a hype watch and worn by true enthusiats who appreciated both the look and the complication.

It was a vaguely interesting (if not overly attractive) niche piece. Shame to lose an interesting movement from the lineup, but I don’t think too many will lament it’s passing TBH.

I enjoyed it but never liked the clasp. The new YG DSSD addresses that issue for me.

I’m not a YMII fan, or a speculator either typically, but with the uniqueness of the watch and movement and relative short production run you can’t help but think how they will age as collectibles through the years.

Never cared for the YMII. The complication had no utility or attraction for me whatsoever.

It will likely come back again in a few years.. with a 42mm case, updated bezel markings, different strap options and updated clasp.

Probably the only discontinued watch that will continue dropping in value.

I thought l liked it but I was offered the TT version at the AD mid COVID which I tried on but once on the wrist it just felt totally wrong. I don't dislike it but now realise l would never wear one so that was that.

I actually liked the complication more than the standard one on the Daytona. Many more people have done dinghy sailing and racing vs car racing after all… see Laser class, etc. I just didn’t like the size and the model name being on the bezel.

It was probably the most hated and most misunderstood model in the modern Rolex sports model collection.
With its bezel-controlled programmable mechanical timer equipped with a mechanical memory and on-the-fly synchronization to the nearest minute, it was one of THE most innovative chronographs in the market. |

Is that true? What do you base that on? I can say I know a fair number of people that have raced cars at one point or another in their lives. I don't know a single person who has ever participated in a sailing race.

I'm a fan and love the YG model. Sorry to see it go. I look forward to seeing an updated version in the future.

They must know something. A lot of people have bigger wrists and hands, as I do and the watch suits me fine. I like the bigger warmth and have many 43mm plus watch sizes. |
