black 116500 vs green skydweller on oyster

If you had the choice between these 2 at retail which, would you chose and why?

Because of my wrist size, Daytona.
If I had a bigger wrist, Sky Dweller.

Sky dweller if you want to green dial. But if you decide to go with Daytona with white dial I would choose Daytona

The SkyD for the fluted bezel and its useful complications.

Two very different watches in size, function and looks.
I'd go Skydweller.

Tough to compare such different watches. I’d probably go SkyDweller

I personally prefer the Sky-Dweller but at retail from an AD I would go with a white dial SS Daytona. At retail, the Daytona-C is a great watch.

I couldn’t wear a Skydweller, so Daytona. I prefer the Skydweller, aesthetically and complicationwise, though.

The sky dweller is sorta big. The Daytona is sleek. Even though I’m a Rolex fanboy I would rather stick to the Daytona due to its historical longevity, plus it’s a Daytona. It’s the pinnacle of Rolex sports watches and on the wish list of a lot of collectors.

Two different sized watches, so try before you buy ..
Skydweller on OysterFlex was one of my requests until I tried it on, felt very top heavy .. they look lovely, green with fluted bezel is very attractive looking watch, but wouldn’t work for me …
I find Daytona is my watch of choice, over almost everything, I’m not fussed about dates and complications .. I know the day/date/month without looking at a watch, I’m old but not senile …

+1. Tough to compare.

I'm lucky as I have both the black Daytona and a white SS Sky D.

If they’re offering you both at retail, then you do whatever’s necessary to get both.

Daytona. I have a 7.75 wrist and have owned a Deepsea but the SkyDweller seemed too large.

the sky never gets worn. hard to wear anything other than the daytona once you fall in love with it.

In order of best response:

1. The one you like more.

2. Daytona.

SkyD. Prefer jubilee, but oyster is good too. I prefer the black Daytona over the white, but both such dainty watches. It’s a shame Rolex doesn’t offer a larger chronograph.

Sky dweller.

Love the useful complication, user friendliness and aesthetic.

No other annual calendar on the market looks as luxurious or robust. No annoying recessed pushers that compromise WR too.
