Black Ceramic Double Balance

Thinking about buying the AP double balance black ceramic in the grey market. Any thoughts on durability of the full ceramic piece? Anyone actually ever scratch one? I know they can crack, but I haven't seen any that have been scratched up.

I have the DB CE. I wear it a lot and don't have any scratches yet.

That's great, I got OCD with scratches on my other pieces.. but, probably shouldn't since it's a sign that I'm actually wearing them and not safe queens. Does the DB CE show any signs of wear?

My wife has the 34mm black ceramic, and it is her most worn AP. The entire point of ceramic is that it doesn't scratch that easily, which I can confirm.

Mine shows no signs of wear at all. My wife's 34m CE also does not show any wear. She wears it the most and she has no wrist awareness. Her other AP's are pretty scratched up, but the CE is pristine.

Similar here. CE no scratches at all (although be careful with the titanium case back). Other AP's have a bunch of scratches that I have no idea where they came from.

CE doesn't scratch. However, if dropped, the whole watch/bracelet can fracture or break. It is just the nature of ceramic material.

not saying that it will happen...

I have the 44mm black ceramic ROO & don't have any scratches or chips. The only thing that makes me regularly nervous/cautious are the exposed edges of my kitchen countertops (with rustic/raw/unpolished edges). I know the ceramic is tough, but so is granite and I don't want to have them collide and see how it holds up to the abrasive edge.

Regardless, I've had it for ~7 years and haven't damaged it yet.
