I want the celebration oyster perpetual 36

How to ask an AD for celebration oyster perpetual 36?
All the AD:s here in Switzerland, are telling me we don't take any names as it's "rare" so who are getting them and how?

Just keep going to ADs and expressing interest....
There is no magic work or secret handshake.
Takes time and luck

Well I have asked all AD:s here, and they all refuse.
Every one of them, keeps saying rare watch and we get to few to give out any.

Hi, I am also based in Switzerland. Do not want to be mean but if you do not have a solid existing relationship with an AD here in Switzerland you will never get one. If you are already a client somewhere with a good spending history then you should be able to get on a list a maybe even get one within a couple of years. Good luck anyway

I think if your approach and likability is high enough you’ll get offered relatively quick. I was offered one on a walk in basis about 6 months ago.

It would be interesting to know if you have any previous purchases from any AD? Or are you just starting the journey with this reference?
I only ask because the watch you are asking for is really thin on the ground and that even includes the pre owned market

Prices on that watch have fallen considerably, especially for sizes below 41mm. But it is still listed for $15-17k USD preowned. I suspect a preowned dealer would give you $10-11k for it. So the AD would be selling you a watch for $6100 + tax that you could instantly flip for a a $4k profit. Unless you have scratched the ADs back I would not hold your breath waiting for that call.

The Celebration is a rare watch for VIPs and celebrities, so it’s not surprising there is high demand for it. Have you considered becoming a famous celebrity?

Sorry to say but If you don’t have a half decent relationship with an AD forget about it.

Sounds like you’ll struggle getting one from an AD
I’d pick another colour, or look to the grey market. These are likely your only 2 options.

Just by reading all of the stories here, I feel it's a psychological game that's being played. I bet he'll have better luck asking for something lesser and tricks the AD into trying to "upsell" by counteroffering something more expensive like this watch.

I got to handle one at in MN recently. The SA said it was ultra rare, and that is was underwhelming, I disagreed. Rolex did an awesome job.

Went grey with the 31mm for my Mom.

I went to several AD to get a sensing and was told very politely that they do not have one and I would not be able to get one as it is reserved for their best customer.

We understood it well as they were very professional, hence we went grey for this piece.

I’m told this is a very difficult Watch to get, as supply to at least this AD has been very low. This from an AD I trust that has delivered a 116500LN (White) and other “hard to get” models to me.
