Watch Box Size
Is it right that most people will buy watch boxes and briefcases for 8-10 watches, and would rather have several small cases than larger ones holding 16, 24 or 32?
Any particular reason, other than most normal people do not have more than 8 watches? |

I think they fit in safes, dressers, etc easier rather than one big ass box lol.
Or you start with one box and end up filling it and getting more so you just keep getting more boxes lol.

I’m also in the less is more camp. I have a hard time rationalizing the 5 watches I have now. I might consider downsizing while at the same time upgrading. Maybe trading in two SS models for a solid gold.

Small boxes always feel better in my opinion.

I don’t use boxes at all. I don’t own that many watches.

I have a 10 watch box and 11 watches. I am going to either sell one watch or buy a 12 box and one more watch. You can’t argue with math :)

I have gone with individual wolf rolls. Easy to put things away.

Separate boxes are easier to categorize and handle.
I have several of these: one for 4-handers, one for divers, one for Mickeys, one for Omegas, and so forth. P5110002.jpg

I was waiting for someone to say smaller boxes are easier to post on Instagram.

I've owned 6 or 7 watch boxes, from 4 to 16 watches per box.
But now I rotate 10 watches in a 10 watch box, have another box with 6 watches I never wear, and I have my G-Shock solars in a 6 watch box open to the sun. I've found over the years, that as I evolved/devolved in the watch hobby, that my needs changed and I bought a different box. Some pretty, some just functional. The one with the watches I rotate is not fancy and is kept in a hidden area. I don't have any expensive display cases that say steal me on it.

For my modest 5 Rolex collection, I use a 3 watch roll and another 2 watch roll. Both sit on my bathroom counter. I find the smaller rolls to be much more portable and practical.

Putting everything together in one large box saves the burglar a lot of time.
