Hello from a new member/AD employee

Hello. I've been a looky-loo for a few years now and figured its high time I create an account. Been a watch guy pretty much my whole life. Always found Rolex to be, by far, the most interesting high end line. I have worked at an AD in the central valley (California) for about 3 years.

Although I'm sure some of the senior members on this board could put my Rolex knowledge to shame, I figured I might be able to answer some questions that aren't exactly common knowledge. Feel free to shoot me a PM for any questions you might have. I figured this is a "21st century" way to further serve the rolex clientele before, as well as long after their purchase.

Welcome. Please give us some inside info, ie, AD costs, discounts, etc. Also, how many SS Daytonas do you generally get per year?

Great to have you here; an "insider", with a modern view on "customer service". That's great.

Best,

Very nice to have you on board and in California Good for me, maybe my next purchase can be from an AD. Some of us tend to not get the best service at the bigger name AD’s and have to go elsewhere, A real shame IMO. It sucks to have cash in hand and be told no the price is the price sorry cannot give you 8% off. Really sucks for that AD to loose a 6400 cash sale because they will not give you the 7K item for 6400. I hope you can answer some future questions. I Hope in the next 6 months to be in the spot to purchase a third GMT a 1999 Pepsi. If you ever needed any input on Rolex related things this is the place to be.

Again welcome and enjoy your stay,

Danny

Thanks for the warm welcome. As far as being a "newbie" and getting used to the board "attitude", poking fun and whatnot, I should have no problem. I am a respected (well decently respected anyway lol) member of many car and gun realted forums. I'll try to answer as many questions as I can, but pecking at the computer all day at work isn't exactly smiled upon.....although this is pseudo work related. If I generated a sale or two from this site it would be a plus, but definitly not my concern for finally registering.

Obviously, pricing can not be discussed in any detail on the net. I'm sure I don't need to explain why. Rolex sets the prices for all ADs and I'm sure we all know them. That's as much as I'll discuss that ;)

You ask of my discount. Easy answer is I haven't got one because I have not purchased one :P I almost jumped on a SS cermaic GMTII. I was buggin' our rep for one before they were officially relased. I kept telling him I had the money burning a hole in my pocket, but he wouldn't take the check until he could deliver. Long story short, my other habits are much more expensive than my watch habit (drag racing, guns, girlfriend lol) and I ending up spending the money on my bottomless pit Camaro (single digit camaro though).

I am also only a ripe 26 years old. Plenty of time to build my collection.
