great, making it even harder for us to get one at msrp, not that I have a chance in hell.
I was at Kern's recently and was told again there simply are no lists, for anything lol

Yep. First come first serve at Kern.
too bad about Shreve, maybe they’ll replace the Patek area with more empty Rolex display cases

The Palo Alto Shreveport store had almost no Patek inventory anyway so there’s no lost there…

Do you know if you can order a non-hyped Patek at Kern then? I have visit them before and looks like they have reasonably good inventory.

My guess is Tiffany’s will be exclusive AD for Patek.

Hmmm. But Tiffany cannot even take out a link on a Nautilius without sending it to NY.

In all honesty I find this a bit weird and would love to know the reasons for this. Shreve was the second US jeweler in 1887 to sell Patek, after Tiffany, so the two companies have a 100+ year relationship.

Tiffany’s are friendlier in service, I’d group Tiffanys with Apple, in the “educate and share info” sale pitch. As in, the jewelry nerds at Tiff will give you a crash course in wedding ring in detail with joy and passion. Impressed the hell out of me. Went to A few Tiffs globally, they all trained similarly, low pressure sales.

Sheves are much too aggressive for me. Guessing their approach don’t align with Patek.

Either places, i walked out with a melted Amex, one taught me never to go back.

interesting that’s the exact opposite from my experience, always had great interactions at shreve but in tiffany they just shrugged me off entirely didn’t really even talk to me haha

One of my biggest watch-collecting fears (other than running out of cash!) is my AD being de-listed by Patek. The relationship that I have worked hard to build would be gone, and it would be almost impossible to re-build elsewhere.

I feel very sorry for the collectors who are affected by these de-listings.

Same here. I bought three Pateks from my local AD and they lost their account. And I'm not willing to get at the back of the line with all the others in Dallas.

Oh well. First world problems...

This happened to me. It sucks. I do appreciate you recognizing it so thank you. Sorry to all of those impacted by this delisting.

I thought the people at Shreve were great. My SA there has great knowledge of the watches and treats me really well.

Never been at Tiffany to buy anything significant and would never think of getting a watch there.

I’m very sad about Shreve, not only for me personally as I was really close to get my grail watch, but also for the hood people who work there.

Maybe it’s time to switch brands? I of course don’t know what happened between Patek and Shreve, but cutting off customers this way is not acceptable in my book.

I went into Shreve about 6 months ago to ask about a 5119R

Totally disinterested. I had to call back 3-4 times to finally speak to a Patek specialist

Tiffany was even worse

May be because 5119R has been out of production for 5+ years...

Similar experience, the treatment at Shreve has been top notch. Btw, Patek is still advertised on the Shreve website but maybe it hasn’t been updated?

Another AD confirmed that they lost it and my friend also texted another SA at Shreve and confirmed it as well. They definitely lost it. I don’t think their SA would claim it if wasn’t true.

Finally after years , I was able to buy a 5711R and a 5990 from my AD which I was very thankful for. Then PP pulled the rug out from under them and ALL their loyal customers. PP apparently could care less . Very sad. Now I have tried for over 2 years to get on any Ad’s list with Patek but not a chance and I own 8 Pateks. Love the timepiece but very disappointed in the company. Sad indeed ! Humble Michael in San Antonio Tx

Have you tried working with one of the salons in Europe ? Would be curious if people here / really anyone on here has done this successfully?Especially heard good things about the Salon in London. Seems to be the only way I guess. Seems like you have a great collection at least …

I do wonder how this consolidation improves the brand. I just lost my Rolex AD a 40 plus year old AD, they had lost PP AD a year earlier. How do you go about establishing a new AD relationship. I went to another AD and got the “you will need to buy some jewelry to start”. My wife probably has $100k in diamonds and gold bracelets, but in our early sixties she is probably full up. I wonder how many clients they are alienating by this strategy.

Is there really nothing that can be done by contacting Geneva directly ? Hard to believe that they don’t care about long term customers with substantial purchase history - maybe they don’t idk but hard to believe …

Time to go Grey. The good ones will roll out the red carpet for you, make you feel appreciated, and you will have what you want w/o playing games.
