If it wasn't a diluted line, then $8400 could be justified but not anymore. I got my Hesalite Pro in 2018 for $3600 new, cannot justify this new price. I understand the Daytona and Sub comparisons, but Omega diluted their brand while Rolex is moving to prestige. If they kept the sapphire in $6k range, then we could see this in every other person's wrist.
Omega is pushing all the buttons in the past few years, but with the brand umbrella they have under Swatch group, they could have moved Omega to prestige and use other brands for targeting mass market. |
