Beloved pursuits you no longer pursue.
I’m not sure it can be considered a “beloved pursuit” but I gave up cigar smoking.
As discussed in another active thread, I had open heart surgery 3.5 years ago. I had a defective valve that required surgical repair. I never had a heart attack or anything like that. Just a birth defect that got worse as I aged. After the operation, I was in ICU thinking to myself, “I can’t wait to get home and smoke a cigar.” I know, ridiculous, right? About two weeks after I got home, I finally smoked a cigar. For some reason, and I’m still not sure why, I got sick and started vomiting. It was awful. I haven’t smoked a cigar since then.
